Pasta Heart Necklace

I am so excited to join some blogging friends in the 100 Acts of Kindness Challenge  hosted by Toddler Approved and Coffee Cups and Crayons!

We thought it would be fun to make pasta friendship necklaces to show kindness to a friend as part of the challenge. I asked my daughter which friend she wanted to show some kindness and love for and she picked her best friend. She had so much fun making this pasta necklace craft and had even more fun giving one of them to her friend while keeping the other one for herself.

Will you accept the friendship kindness challenge? See below on how to make these fun friendship necklaces that are great for toddlers and preschoolers to make.

To Make Pasta Necklaces You’ll Need:

How to Make Friendship Pasta Heart Neckalces

Step 1. Roll your salt dough flat and use a heart cookie cutter to make a heart and then use a straw to make a hole. You can then microwave the dough for about 30 seconds, although I recommend checking on it every 10 seconds or so.

Step 2. Next put glue all over the front side of the salt dough heart and then add glitter

Step 3. Tie your string around the heart and start threading your dyed pasta

Step 4. Then finish threading the pasta on each side and tie a knot to secure.

Now the fun part, delivering it! My daughter was so excited to give her gift to her friend. Afterwards we talked about how happy it makes us when we do something kind for someone else.
