Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt

What is more fun for a kid then going on a hunt to find “treasures”? This is a super fun scavenger hunt tailored for Valentine’s day. It is great because it serves as a fun activity but you can also use the items you hide as your child’s Valentine’s Day gift and/or items for a super cute Valentine’s Day sensory bin ( I will be posting about ours tomorrow).

What you’ll need for this Valentine’s activity is various Valentine’s or heart shaped goodies.

Here is a list of what I used which were all purchased at the dollar store:

  • A cute Valentine’s day box with lid ( I put a little stuffed animal inside)
  • Heart shaped plastic bracelets
  • Small puffed balloon
  • Small  glitter heart shapes
  • Heart decorative wire

How to set up the Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt Activity

First I hid all the items around the house. You can make this more difficult depending on your child’s age. For my young toddler I made it really easy and obvious.

First she found the box with the stuffed animal in it.

Then she found the balloon between the arm chairs. She was really excited about it.

Then she found the bracelets. She loves jewelry, so she was so happy to find them.

She loved the Valentine’s Day scavenger hunt and had a blast playing with her items. Afterwards I put together a fun Valentine’s Day sensory bin using the items from the scavenger hunt.
